Tucson Wedding Officiant / Minister - traditional and same-sex ceremony services range from $100 - $350

Varies depending on venue ( location), number of guests, and day / date.  Please contact me for details.

Signing of the License - The marriage license needs to be signed immediately following the ceremony by the couple, two witnesses (over the age of 18) and signed by me.

Tipping - My rates are affordable and I am often cheaper than quite a few officiants.  My rates include all of my services that are agreed upon.    You are by no means required to tip.  If you find my services exceed your expectations, tips are always greatly appreciated.

Microphones - Think twice before hiring DJ's who use handheld type microphones / stands for the wedding ceremony.  These microphones are used by inexperienced  and cheap DJ's.  There is no excuse for wedding DJ's to not have a small wireless mic that clips to a tie or jacket . Do yourself a favor and get a DJ who uses a lapel type mic or use no mic at all.  I can  also speak loudly if need be.  You will also have the mic and mic stand in all your wedding photos.  Save the handheld mic for announcing the wedding party.  Just some thoughts on my experiences.

Travel Fee - The rate I quote you will include my travel fees unless otherwise noted.

Rehearsal Fee - Need me to attend your wedding rehearsal and help coordinate the wedding processional, positioning, and recessional?  Many venues do not offer or provide this service.  Fees starting at $50.00 and depend upon distance and travel time.  Rehearsals need to be scheduled with me and are based on my availability.

Late Fee - I will generally be at your ceremony location at least 15 minutes before the agreed upon ceremony start time.  I am not responsible for ceremonies that start late.  The ceremony and the signing of the marriage license needs to be completed within one hour of our agreed ceremony start time, otherwise a late fee will be assessed.  The late fee is $25.00 per partial 15 minutes.

Other fees - The client is responsible for any additional fees / charges incurred to perform their wedding service.  National Park entrance / passage fees are a good example of this.

Witnesses -  By law, you need two witnesses over 18 years of age to witness the ceremony and then sign the marriage license.  I am usually able to provide witnesses for you (depending on date / time).  Fees starting at $25 for each witness.

Extras -  The customers (Bride / Groom) are responsible for securing the wedding site and for purchasing and setting up all the necessities for their ceremonies: ie unity sand, vases, unity candles, roses, lighters, matches, tables etc.

Other -  The customer (Bride / Groom) are responsible for bringing the marriage license to the ceremony.  Changes in ceremony date and/or time will be based on my availability or retainer/all monies paid will be forfeited.  Additional fees may be assessed if rehearsal and/or ceremony locations change and/or are scheduled at a later date.

Refuse -  We reserve the right to refuse any service that we are not comfortable performing, at which time a refund may be made at our discretion.  This may include, but is not limited to: creating and performing ceremonies that we are uncomfortable with, not interacting with Officiant in a dignified or respectful manner, unruly actions, disorderly conduct, poor communication and not receiving timely or agreed upon payments.

Payment / Deposit information

I require a 50% non-refundable retainer to hold your date and time.  Failure to make a timely deposit will result in forfeiture of my availability.  Retainer must be received by me and confirmed via email or text in order to have my services confirmed/booked .  All confirmed jobs are listed in my calendar using the link above.  Retainer may be made via cash, check or PayPal.  Balance is due 1 week before ceremony via paypal or check or via cash only on rehearsal day if hired for rehearsal, otherwise on wedding day before agreed upon ceremony time.  Additional fees are due before marriage license is mailed in.

The Fine Print

I usually do not book back to back weddings, but if I do, I leave myself a buffer between ceremonies.  If for example your wedding starts unreasonably late, I may unfortunately need to leave to perform the other wedding.  I am not responsible for any inconvenience this may cause.  If my services are still needed, an additional fee will be assessed (varies).  No refunds will be given for prior money paid.  Please refer to payment information for more details.  Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

The Couple fully understands and agrees that The Officiant shall not be responsible or held liable in the event The Officiant is prohibited from performing The Couple's wedding ceremony due to illness, hospitalization, auto accident, transportation breakdown/disruption, job required travel, traffic difficulties, acts of God such as inclement weather or other unforeseen incapacitation or other cause of non-arrival on the day of the ceremony.  In the unlikely event that The Officiant is unable to perform the ceremony for reasons beyond his control, he will make every effort to contact/notify The Couple and to try to refer a qualified replacement who may or may not have availability to perform the ceremony, if time and resources permit.  The Officiant, his agents and assigns shall NOT be held liable for any compensation or damages (including punitive) due to non-performance or delays of any ceremony resulting from such incapacitations, non arrival, errors and/or omissions of any type.  On a side note, I have never missed or been late to perform a ceremony.
